Cup Pizzas

Hey guys,
I'm back at school, and I think I have more free time now than I did when I was only taking chemistry this summer so hopefully I'll be able to post more often.  Also hopefully I'll be doing more cool stuff worth sharing.
anywho...
So some of my roommates and I were watching Pushing Daisies, and we saw the episode where Chuck tries to get Ned to put cup pies on the menu for the Pie Hole.  Which are pies made in a muffin tin.  I have been meaning to try to make these, but I keep forgetting to get the stuff to make them.  So instead of making mini pies I made mini deep dish pizzas or if you will cup pizza pies =)
So I started out with regular pizza dough (I use bread flour)
and I put it in a sprayed cupcake pan (sorry I know they're called muffin tins, but I've always called them cupcake pans)

And I added sauce and cheese, after my previous experience with making deep dish pizza, I tried to go light on the toppings, because I knew they'd puff up.

Which they did while they were in the oven for 12 minutes at 450

Ta-Da! cup pizzas

I thought they were really good, and not very hard to make, so I'll probably try to make them again sometime. =)in other news I've been working on stuff for my etsy store.  What do you guys think?

 Awesome!  till next time,

Super Pizza and Etsy

So I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, and even though I should be working on my chemistry class I'm taking a day to recover and catch up on my blogs and stuff.
So on Sunday I made pizza dough.  I was going to make a bunch of little pizza crusts and freeze them for later, but I ended up having to use it to feed my family.  I got out the pan and started rolling it out only to remember I had to spray the pan first. (I'm so bad at that) So I pulled the dough off sprayed the pan and put the dough back on.  The dough stretched a lot in this process though so even though the recipe wasn't doubled it became Super Pizza.
The size of a cookie sheet :o. throw on some pepperoni, stick it in the oven for awhile and...
BAM
Super Pizza was born.  The scary thing is the six of us ate pretty much the whole thing, in one sitting.

Next up in the list of things I've meant to post is about Etsy.  More detail about this stuff is in my Etsy Blog for anyone who is interested, but no worries if you're not.  I've listed some stuff and have more stuff to list, but since a picture is worth a thousand words I'll just show you real fast.

and

Ta-duh.  Better pictures of these are either up on Etsy or will be soon, but you get the idea.
I really need to go work on my chemistry class so...

Introduction

I'm a college student who is majoring in food science and minoring in chemistry.  I also have enjoyed baking and cooking since the first time my mom let me make brownies by myself when I was 8.  I have been knitting for 6 years, and i have recently decided to use that skill to open an Etsy store (see the link to the left).  I have been working on baby patterns for awhile for my cousins and friends, so that will be the majority of what I'll sell.  Although I have plans to expand into child and adult stuff later, right now I'm taking a summer chemistry course and it is very time consuming so that will probably have to wait.  I'll probably post stuff about both and whatever other randomness happens to me;).  I'm very excited to get both this and my etsy store started:D.
